Who am I?
I am a fellow wanderer and wonderer. I grew up in the East Bay Area of California, adopted on the day I was born. I was raised by loving parents, who I am still deeply connected to and close to. For much of my life, I believed that my adoption didn’t have an impact on me, but as I have gotten older, I have started to notice the ways in which this event has left a lasting and core impression on the way I move through life.
I studied for many years to be an actor, a storyteller, earning a BFA in screen acting from Chapman University. I loved the power of stories to impact and connect us, and became passionate about making films. I wanted to use art to heal, but I began to notice that the work I was doing much of the time after I graduated to not feel
I still passionately want to tell stories and create, but I felt called to use these tools and skills for healing. This is what led me to therapy. In the aftermath of the Covid pandemic, I saw that there was a great need for collective healing. I shifted course, taking my art and creativity with me in a quest to expand my ways of reaching and helping others.
In my journey so far, something I have learned, again and again, is that I do not have the answers. I cannot tell you what you should do with your life. Because I believe that the answer to that is somewhere within you already, and through our collaboration and my curiosity into what truly makes you you, together we will find it.
I consider it an honor to be learning from each other. Life is complex and multifaceted, and it is my belief that we each hold a unique piece of the puzzle. While we may never be able to put all our pieces together and see the full picture, in moments, we can find the ways to see that each of our pieces is a part of the same thing. The great mystery.
